Hailey reached out after hearing about my studio model call from a previous client (referrals truly are the greatest compliment!). I was looking for a few amazing couples to help me test out my brand new light and airy studio space, and she and her husband, Cam, were the perfect fit.

They arrived on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, full of joy, excitement, and just the right amount of anticipation. Little did we know, baby Noah would make his big debut less than 24 hours later!

A Storybook Beginning

Hailey and Cam met their freshman year of college at the University of Iowa – ninth floor of Slater Hall, to be exact. Their story started back in 2016 and has since grown into a life full of shared passions: watching and playing sports, tailgating at Hawkeye football games, walking their sweet pup Ruby, and trying out new restaurants together.

You could feel their connection the moment they walked in. From the way Cam made Hailey laugh to the quiet, supportive glances between them. It was clear that this was a couple deeply in sync, savoring the final days of life before parenthood.

Hailey shared that she had been lucky to experience a largely positive pregnancy and wanted to document the joy of this season – something that often gets lost in the midst of planning and preparing for baby.

Her light, graceful presence paired so perfectly with the soft tones of my studio. And the glow? Let’s just say the golden hour had nothing on her.

Surprise—Baby Noah Arrived the Next Day!

Yes, you read that right. Less than 24 hours after our session wrapped, Hailey went into labor. Talk about perfect timing!

She later messaged me:

“Thanks so much for taking my maternity photos (with just a couple hours to spare, lol!) They are such a great keepsake and memory of carrying little Noah. I will be sure to leave a review – we had a great experience working with you!”

These are the moments that remind me why I do what I do. Capturing this milestone just in time means that Hailey and Cam now have forever memories of their final hours as two—just before they became three.
