Every session tells a story, and this one? It’s the kind of beautiful chaos that makes my photographer heart so happy.

When Alix booked her newborn photoshoot for the arrival of her fourth son (yes, you read that right – four boys under six!), I knew we were in for a sweet, energetic, and love-filled session. Alix was looking for something different than the traditional posed baby photos. She was drawn to my light and airy, family-focused style with images that feel natural, emotive, and full of connection.

But there was one special request: the bucket shot!

The Bucket Shot Challenge (and How We Made It Work)

While I specialize in lifestyle and unposed newborn photography, I completely understand the sentimental value of consistency – especially when it comes to photos of your children. Alix has a collection of adorable bucket photos of each of her boys hanging in the bathroom, and she wanted to complete the series with one of baby Graham.

With a little patience, some creativity, and a touch of AI magic, we were able to make it happen. While posed bucket shots aren’t part of my typical approach, working collaboratively with families to honor their vision is something I truly value, and this was such a meaningful request.

Now, that beloved bathroom gallery wall has the final piece it was missing.

Meet Baby Graham (and His Very Proud Big Brothers)

Sweet little Graham was wide awake and full of expression during his session. He made the most darling eye contact and gave us plenty of opportunities to capture his bright, curious spirit.

And let’s talk about his brothers for a moment – they absolutely doted on him. Watching them gently stroke his hair, peek over at him with pride, and even sneak in a few kisses was one of the most heartwarming parts of the entire session.

You could feel the love in every frame. Despite the busy energy that naturally comes with a house full of boys, there was also tenderness, calm, and a whole lot of joy.
